The short answer
Choose one main attraction, check the rules against your children’s ages and heights, and leave room for food and the return journey. Waterbom, AeroXSpace, Trans Studio and Mookiland offer different days; they are not four stops to combine into one itinerary.

In this guide
Choose the kind of day before the attraction
A waterpark, a physical indoor adventure and a smaller play outing ask different things of a child. Start with the children you are travelling with: what they enjoy, how they handle noise and queues, whether a nap matters and how much active time they actually want.
Let each child name one priority. If two children want incompatible days, dividing them across the holiday can work better than asking everyone to rush through both. A child who mainly wants the pool may enjoy an unplanned afternoon at the accommodation more than an extra attraction.
Then look at the location. The journey from your villa is part of the family day, even when a venue’s website makes everything look close. Choose an attraction worth that journey and keep food or shopping nearby rather than adding a second cross-island drive.
Four very different family outings
Scroll the table sideways to compare.
| Place | The main idea | Check first |
|---|---|---|
| Waterbom, Kuta | A waterpark day | Individual slide rules, supervision, tickets and weather arrangements |
| AeroXSpace, south Denpasar | Indoor physical adventure | Height requirements for the attractions your child wants |
| Trans Studio Bali, west Denpasar | Indoor theme-park rides and shows | Ride suitability, current sessions and admission terms |
| Mookiland, Kerobokan area | Play spaces with outdoor and partly covered areas | Age supervision, weather closures and re-entry rules |
These are places to research directly, not included tickets or a claim that each is suitable for every child. Use the venue’s own rules rather than assuming the age bracket on a ticket means a child can use every attraction.
Height matters as much as age
Measure the children before selecting an attraction around a particular ride. AeroXSpace publishes different height requirements across its attractions. That is a reason to check the specific activities, not only the general description of the park.
Waterbom likewise has individual slide conditions and its own adult-accompaniment rules. Do not promise a child every slide before you have checked. For Trans Studio, compare the rides and current visitor information with your children’s needs rather than using ticket age categories as a ride-access guarantee.
Send the venue any access or support question before buying. Ask what a child can do, who must accompany them and whether the adults need a particular ticket. The venue decides its admission and activity rules; a transport provider cannot waive them.
A rainy-day plan needs more than the word “covered”
AeroXSpace and Trans Studio are indoor-oriented choices. Mookiland describes a semi-covered area for light rain, which is different from a completely indoor day. Its rules also allow attractions to close for weather or technical reasons. Check current conditions and cancellation terms before you commit.
If the weather turns, choose a replacement in the same general area where possible. A slow meal or an easy browse at a suitable mall can be a complete plan, rather than a consolation stop before another long drive. Discovery and Beachwalk have outdoor elements, so do not assume every shopping location offers the same shelter.
Do not keep an outdoor booking solely because it is on the original schedule. Ask the venue what is operating and discuss any transport change with Simson. An activity ticket and a driver booking can have different change conditions.
Build the day around one main event
A useful family rhythm is pickup, one main attraction, a proper food break and an agreed return. A short nearby browse can remain optional. Avoid treating departure from the attraction as the only timing that matters; children still have to manage the trip back.
For a waterpark day, allow changing and getting ready to leave. For an indoor adventure, leave time for the activities the child can use without racing between sessions. If the children are happily occupied, the optional shopping stop can disappear without the day becoming a failure.
Mookiland requires adults to supervise younger children and states that parents remain responsible for safety. None of these outings should be assumed to include drop-off childcare. Clarify supervision with the attraction, including if adults in your group want to do a different activity.
Pack for the outing and for the car
- Check the venue’s clothing, footwear, sock and swimwear requirements.
- Bring what your child needs for the journey, plus a change of clothes where appropriate.
- Check outside-food rules rather than assuming your usual lunch bag can go inside.
- Confirm any baby-food or accessibility exception with the venue.
- List prams, bags and child-seat needs when arranging the car.
- Save the actual vehicle meeting point and agree how you will contact the driver.
Rafa’s published car capacity is up to four passengers with suitcases or six without luggage, subject to the real arrangement. Children, restraints, prams and bags all count when deciding what fits. Ask about a suitable child-seat arrangement before confirming, with the child’s age and other relevant details.
Keep transport and attraction prices separate
A return transfer to one park needs its own quote. Rafa’s Rp1.500.000 day hire covers 12–14 hours of car-and-driver hire with waiting, parking and tolls; it is not a standard ticket-inclusive family attraction package. A shorter outing may need a different quote. Tickets, paid activities and meals are separate.
Before booking, agree the pickup, return plan, waiting arrangements and total transport price. Buy venue tickets only after checking that they suit the group and the intended date. If a timed session matters, send its confirmation to Simson so the pickup can be planned around it.
Choose a route page for Waterbom, AeroXSpace, Trans Studio or Mookiland. Or start with the day planner and send Simson one complete enquiry with dates, hotel, passengers, children and the main event you chose.
