Hiring a private driver in Bali gives your group a simple way to travel between attractions without planning every road journey yourself. The best day starts with a clear idea of what you want to experience, a route that makes geographical sense and an agreement about the driving service.
Choose a day that fits your pickup area
Start with the interactive Bali day planner. Choose where you are staying, what interests you and your preferred pace. Select your stops, leave room for lunch and review the plan with Simson before booking.
The planner groups existing routes by area. It does not combine southern Bali outings with far-north destinations in one suggested day. Driving conditions still vary, so agree pickup and return times with Simson, especially if you have a flight or another fixed booking.
Start with one part of the island
Bali’s famous places are spread across different regions. An Ubud day, a southern-coast outing and a journey into eastern Bali are different trips. Trying to combine distant highlights can leave very little time at the attractions themselves.
For a first visit, choose a main area and two or three priorities. Central Bali works well for rice terraces and temple surroundings. The west coast suits a focused Tanah Lot afternoon. The southern peninsula offers beach viewpoints and Uluwatu. The highlands are a separate full-day journey for lakes and rice country.
Leave room for the parts you enjoy
A good itinerary includes time for lunch, walking, a rest and the occasional unexpected stop. If photography is important, allow time at a viewpoint. If you are travelling with children, plan breaks and fewer major stops. If someone in your group has limited mobility, mention this before choosing attractions with steep stairs.
Tell Simson your non-negotiable places first. Then add optional stops that can be dropped if traffic or weather changes. Suggested durations on this website are planning ranges, not promises about the day’s traffic.
What to send when asking for a quote
- Your travel date and exact hotel or villa pickup location.
- The number of adults and children, including children’s ages.
- Your preferred attractions, any fixed bookings and the return location.
- Luggage, a pram, mobility needs or required child restraints.
- Your preferred pace and the latest time you need to return.
For airport or harbour journeys, include your flight or boat details and the correct terminal or meeting point. A place name alone may not identify the exact pickup location.
Agree the total price and inclusions
Ask for the total quote in Indonesian rupiah, often written as IDR or Rp. Confirm the driver hours, route, pickup and return point. Parking, road tolls and waiting time are included in day hire. Confirm how extra distance or time is charged.
Entrance tickets, meals, performances, activity guides and boat travel may be separate. Do not assume a transport quote includes them. Where an activity requires a separate operator, check the booking and terms directly with that operator.
Day hire is Rp1,500,000 for 12–14 hours for the whole car and driver, including waiting time, parking and tolls. A 50% deposit is required. Confirm the route and any other charges with Simson. No payment is collected on this website.
Choose a car that suits the journey
Simson uses a comfortable VinFast Limo Green MPV. Send your group and luggage details before booking so he can confirm the arrangement. The number of people and the size of the bags both affect comfortable space.
For a long trip into the north or east, discuss charging and any planned breaks in advance. A sensible route makes the day easier to enjoy. Tell Simson if you have a flight, dinner booking or other fixed deadline afterward.
Temple and countryside visits
Pack suitable walking shoes and clothing for the places you intend to visit. Temples may require modest dress and a sarong. Follow the local rules, signs and staff guidance, including restrictions around ceremonies or sacred areas.
Rice terraces and waterfall paths can be uneven or slippery. Conditions can change after rain, so keep an alternative stop in mind. Do not assume every waterfall has safe swimming or easy access.
Confirm the practical details before the day
Agree your pickup time, contact number, payment method, the 50% deposit and cancellation terms. Ask what to do if a flight or other activity is delayed. If your plans change, contact Simson early rather than assuming the driver hours will automatically extend.
The enquiry form prepares a message for WhatsApp. It does not reserve a date or send a message automatically. Review the message, send it in WhatsApp and wait for direct confirmation of the booking details.
